Southport Food and Drink Festival

Spectacular street food, live entertainment and the most exciting local producers all join the mix at the annual Southport Food and Drink Festival, from Friday 31 May to Sunday 2 June 2019.  This established festival celebrates the region’s vibrant and colourful foodie scene with three days of food, fun and flavours taking place in the beautiful Victoria Park.

Southport Food and Drink Festival is a free, family-friendly event that gives visitors access to an array of street food stalls to suit every taste, with savoury and sweet dishes, world foods and plenty of healthy and plant based options.  Festival goers will find lots of culinary creativity from crepes, to churros and curries, alongside a great selection of drinks and craft beers.

Foodie fans will love the hand-picked selection of the region’s most passionate producers, all of whom will be bringing their wares to the festival, including a wide selection of gift ideas and treats to relish at home. Handmade cheeses, sausages, sweet and savoury pies, chutneys and pickles are just a few of the delights to be uncovered.

The line -up of food and drink you can taste and sample at the festival includes; loaded halloumi fries, vegan treats, Brooklyn Brewery (with an old American school bus), Thai ice cream, American wings, cheesecake, donuts, traditional pie and mash, artisan sausage rolls & scotch eggs and local honey to name just a few of the treats in store for visitors.

Keep the little ones entertained with a free Children’s Festival, sponsored by Hickory’s Smoke House, as part of the weekend’s activities.  Arts and crafts, magic shows, storytelling and sports workshops can all be joined for free, whilst for a small charge there is face painting, glitter tattoos and messy play.

A programme of live music throughout the weekend will be in the Entertainment Arena, sponsored by Johnsons Toyota. Visitors can enjoy live music from jazz to singer songwriters, all adding to the party atmosphere, with plenty of grassy spaces to sit back, enjoy a drink or a bite to eat with family and friends.
