Winter Funland Manchester launches with party for 1000 mini VIPs, plus sports and TV stars

The UK’s ever biggest undercover winter wonderland launched at Winter Funland Manchester, with a star-studded festive extravaganza for 1000 mini VIPs and some well-known special guests.
Brooke Vincent, Sarah Jayne Dunn, Kieron Richardson, Mani from the Stone Roses and Jody Latham were joined by sporting stars Anthony Crolla, Fabrice Muamba, Vincent Kompany, Brahim Diaz, Kevin De Bruyne, Phil Foden celebrated with their families at the launch night party.

Celebrity guests joined 1000 local children, nominated by local charities especially for the launch event at EventCity, next to the Intu Trafford Centre.

Winter Funland is an all-encompassing festive extravaganza for all the family, bringing together a spectacular line-up of winter magic, entertainment and seasonal activities.

Live shows and a must-see grotto at Winter Funland

Guests were entertained in the stunning new 1000 seater auditorium, with live shows from CBBC star Andy Day with his fantastic Odd Socks band, performances from Frozen and a breath-taking festival circus.

They showed off their skills on the ice rink and braved the festive rides, before making their lists and calling in to see Santa in the must-see Winter Funland Grotto, complete with live reindeer.

The festive extravaganza opens its doors to the public today, December 7. The perfect place to make lasting festive memories for the whole family, it brings all age groups together with their loved ones, without it costing the earth. With one all-inclusive admission ticket and nothing extra to pay once inside tickets will include all of the rides, grotto, entertainment and ice skating – plus children under the age of three go free.

Running until New Year’s Day, there’ll be two sessions every day. With more than 3000 free car parking spaces, all the magic of the festive season under cover from the elements, an all-inclusive admission ticket, plus Christmas shopping at the premier shopping destination, intu Trafford Centre just across the road, this year’s Winter Funland event is set to be the must-visit Christmas attraction.
