16 Bit Chicken to open this summer

Graffiti Spirits Group has announced a new concept for its former Slim’s Pork Chop Express site, 16 Bit Chicken.

The award-winning independent restaurant-bar group has unveiled that the space at 85 Seel Street will now be home to a new gourmet chicken takeaway, with a quirky speakeasy-style retro arcade.

Named 16 Bit Chicken, the new concept will take guests on a nostalgic experience like no other in Liverpool, offering tasty food combined with a hidden retro arcade that’s packed with 16 different machines including Pac Man, Point Blank, Time Crisis and Golden Axe, to name a few.

Guests will be able to visit day and into the early hours to tuck into fried chicken pieces and burgers. They’ll be able to either sit in or grab their food and go.

Graffiti Spirits Group operates some of Liverpool’s most popular haunts including Salt Dogs Slims, Santa Chupitos, Santa Maluco, 81 Ltd, El Bandito, Bold Street Coffee and Castle Street Coffee.

Co-founder of the group Matt Farrell commented: “16 Bit Chicken will be the first of its kind in Liverpool. We’re combining moreish takeaway food with a retro arcade that will take our guests on a journey, harking back to the days where these games were really popular.

“Seel Street is packed with bars and restaurants so 16 Bit Chicken will be ideal for a late night bite or for an alternative way to spend the night with friends and family.”

16 Bit Chicken will open this summer.
